Mixed Media Relief Paper Sculpture with Beth Humphrey
April 13, 10:30-1:30 at the DRAW studio, YMCA
In this workshop, you will transform recycled paper into colorful, layered mixed media works. Drawing inspiration from nature, rural landscapes and invented ecosystems you will create painted, stenciled and altered paper to construct low relief sculptures that use shape, shadow and color.
“I think about cycles in nature, evaporation, respiration, erosion, gentle and violent forces at a moment of change. In the studio I work with watercolor, casein, spray paint, collage, paper light and shadow .”
