At the D.R.A.W. we want to grow a network of teaching artists able to offer quality arts programing at the D.R.A.W. and community centers throughout Kingston. We see the D.R.A.W. as an arts education laboratory where artists and arts educators can build best practice for community arts education, to serve as a model for our community and others. Our current studio at the YMCA offers 875sqft, equipt with drawing benchs, work tables and a small intaglio press. If you have an idea for a class or workshop, let us know. We are looking for teaching artists interested in sharing their skills and building their audience. These will be paid positions, dependent on enrollment. Classes can take the shape of a single class, multi day workshop, or a series. We are also available to mentor teaching artists through our art ed programs at the DRAW. We offer free after school programs for teens and pre-teens and are looking for artists interested in working with this population. If you have experience in teaching or are interested in in growing your skills in teaching reach out to us.
